New Blog

I got incredibly far behind on trying to update both the boys's blogs, so I decided to create a new blog and only have one. I will be posting things from the last several months in the coming days. You can visit the new blog at http://cjdouglasfamily.blogspot.com.

Cool Dude!

Brennan loves to wear his sunglasses. For a long time he needed our help to get them on. Now he puts them on himself (not always correctly as seen in the picture), but when he has them on he thinks that he is really cool.

Best Buds

Brennan and Branton are becoming best buds. Now that Branton can sit, Brennan has started looking at him as more of playmate instead of just a baby. Here are a few pictures we took the other day when Brennan went to sit with Branton and wanted us to take his picture.

Branton was wondering what was going on while Brennan was majorly cheesy.

Brennan was practing another smile while Branton was hoping to get a toy.

Happy boys talking to each other.

Branton thinking that smiling is good now but Brennan is on to something else.

Both boys smiling - what a great picture!

Quick Christmas Trip to Grandma and Grandpa's

Grandma Oakley was at the hospital with Aunt Michelle when the rest of our Oakley family opened presents, so we went by Grandma and Grandpa's house very quickly to give her her presents before we went to GGma and GGa's house.

Christmas Morning 2009

Brennan really enjoyed his second Christmas at home. Everytime we talked about Santa leading up to Christmas, he would go over and point at the stockings. He was very excited to open his presents from Santa. He loved the candy and was very proud of all his presents.

Oakley Family Christmas

We opened Christmas presents with most of the Oakley family on Wednesday before Christmas. We missed Grandma and Aunt Michelle; they had to leave to go to the hospital. Brennan really had a great time. To see more of pictures of other people that night, be sure to look at Branton's blog.

Christmas Eve's Eve Dinner 2009

On Christmas Eve's Eve, we had dinner at our house for the sixth year. Great Granny, Great Grandpa Roy, GGma, GGpa, Grandma Oakley, Grandpa Oakley, Aunt Jessica, Uncle Ryan, Kinley, Jaxon, Aunt Krista, Uncle Justin, Kate, Aunt Kayla, Uncle Brett, Rachel, Aunt Michelle, and Uncle Josh were all able to come. Some of them seemed to be left out of the pictures though (sorry).

Kids try to do some crazy things

I thought I would post real quick to let you all know about the conversation I just had with Brennan. He came up and told me he needed to potty. Then I put him on the toilet (he still sits) and walked out; he likes it better when I leave. When I came back in, he was sitting there reaching down into the toilet in between his legs. I had to tell him that we have to leave the poop in the toilet. He just looked at me, smiled, and was ready to get down. Fortunately, he had not accomplished his goal of grabbing the poop. :)

Christmas in Shawnee

We spent December 20-22 in Shawnee to celebrate our Douglas Family Christmas. Brennan had a great time with Gran, Grandad, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Lindsay, and Judah. He also discovered how much fun it is to open presents! We will post more pictures from our other Christmas gatherings over the next few days.
